Wildlife Ecology

The goals of the Wildlife Ecology task are to report on the current status of compliance with regulatory drivers related to ecological resources and land management and to report on ongoing research and other information gathering activities.

The compliance issues addressed by the Wildlife Ecology team include:

  •  Special status species with the potential to be listed under the ESA including the sagebrush-obligate species sage-grouse and pygmy rabbit.

  •  Threats to sagebrush habitat on the INL

  •  Habitat data needs to support management of special status species on the INL

  •  Water management and the potential to affect habit for special status wildlife on the INL.

  •  Data needs to support the National Environmental Policy Act process at the INL.
